Why palms need scheduled attention

Seed pods stain paving and create rolling hazards on ramps and paths. Dead fronds collect litter and block light. Regular de-fronding and de-seeding prevents hazard build-up and keeps crowns neat.

Our height limit

Our public liability cover excludes tree and palm work above 3.5 metres, so we don’t do it. Ground-level de-seeding, frond collection and clean-down we handle as part of your scheduled visit. Anything requiring elevated access is arranged with a separately insured arborist, coordinated and reported by us as part of the site. Worth asking any grounds contractor quoting your property what their height limit is.

Safe work: access, PPE, drop zones

Mark drop zones with cones or tape and use spotters in busy areas. PPE for eyes, hands and head. Schedule higher-risk works outside peak pedestrian times and maintain traffic sightlines throughout.

Waste handling & green waste removal

Bundle fronds and pods for safe removal, and protect vehicle paths from spikes. Work areas are swept after removal so no residual slip risk is left behind.

Setting the right frequency

Species, fruiting cycles and site use drive cadence. Resorts and medical precincts typically prefer more frequent passes to protect brand and safety. Combine with hedging near palm lines for seamless presentation.
